Exchange Rate

Operator: “911 … what is your emergency?”

Caller: “I need some assistance–I am at risk of not making my fantasy hockey playoffs!”

Beginning this week, the 911 will once again feature advice articles on how to keep your edge in your fantasy hockey pool. My aim as a contributing writer is to provide a weekly “waiver wire” focused posting to help with your research while reducing your emergencies into manageable issues. Look for a fresh “Exchange Rate” every week prior to the weekend. If you have underachieving players clogging up your roster, don’t be afraid to pull the string and potentially add points from the list of options below, all less than 50% owned in Yahoo leagues–along with several less than 10%.

Be ready to cut bait if these trending players begin to slide. Taking chances and playing the waiver choices and schedule wins leagues. Hopefully you prepared with a road map (plan) before your trip through your league draft, so don’t be hesitant to take an alternate route to destination playoffs around the road construction.

This week’s recommended additions:

Blake Coleman NJD 46 Consistent, will be claimed soon if still out there
Lawson Crouse ARI 4 20 hits in last 6 games, add if daily lineup changes
