Nashville Predators at Los Angeles Kings

Drew Doughty FINALLY notched his 1st point of the season in the form of a PP assist. In 6 games, Drew is a minus-3, has 6 PIMs and is averaging just over 2 shots per game. I think it goes without saying that Doughty is a prime "buy low" candidate, but years of 60 point glory as displayed in his sophomore season, some 3 years ago, cannot really be expected, especially with the 2 year regression demonstrated with his 40 points in 76 games(2011) and 36 points in 77 games and minus-2 rating, last season. With Doughty being only 23 years old, there's still PLENTY to be optimistic about, it's just that defensemen scoring is, well, so damn fickle on a year to year basis. Outlook: Expect a 45 point pace(Over an 82 game slate) as Doughty heats up and puts PP points up like pin-ball numbers. - MH93
